According to emerging reports, the British luxury car maker, Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division is developing an F-Type GT4 model for racing.

However, Jaguar has not yet confirmed about the development, but Autosport reports that a secret project has started within Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations division to convert the F-Type for the GT4 racing series.

Autosport reports that James Holder, who has been competing until now in British and European racing series has commissioned three cars from Jaguar, which will debut later this year in the European GT4 series.

Jaguar has recruited race-car specialist Graham Humphrey to complete this project. Previously he was working on the Valkyrie supercar for Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing.

Humphrey also developed the Continental GT3 for Bentley and M-Sport, bu his most famous design was the BMW V12 LMR that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 1999.

Jaguar hasn't officially competed since the domination of C-type and D-Type in Le Mans in the 1950s. Recently Jaguar produced a GT2-spec XKR which did not perform well as per the expectations, and the company is focused on formula racing these days than sports cars.
