Jaguar F-Type SVR launched in India. Prices for the Jaguar F-Type SVR start at Rs 2.45 crore for the coupe and Rs 2.63 crore for the convertible (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Jaguar F-Type SVR is powered by a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that has been fettled by Jaguar Special Vehicles Operations division and produces 567bhp at 6,500rpm and 700Nm of torque at 3,500rpm which is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Jaguar claims that the F-Type SVR coupe will sprint from 0–100kph in just 3.7 seconds and will continue charging forward till it tops out at 322kph. The F-Type SVR convertible has the same 0–100kph time as the coupe but the top speed of the drop-top is limited to 314kph.
The F-Type SVR gets a host of extra features including a lightweight exhaust system made from titanium and Iconel which can be opened up manually to allow drivers to hear the F-Type's engine roar out its fury.
The F-Type SVR also features revised aerodynamics, a fixed carbon-fibre rear wing and 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the top-spec SVR also gets SVR performance seats along with a heated leather wrapped steering wheel with aluminium gearshift paddles.
The SVR is the craziest variant of Jaguar's F-Type sports car. Hopefully, the big cat's SVR-spec claws will keep the posers away.
