Isuzu MU-X To Be Manufactured In India

Isuzu India is all geared up for the launch of its new SUV, the MU-X. As per reports the SUV will be locally manufactured in India.

Indian wing of the Japanese Utility Vehicle manufacturer Isuzu Motors India is geared up to expand its product portfolio in the country. The company is all set to launch the MU-X in the Indian market.

As per reports, the Isuzu MU-X will be manufactured at the company's Sri City plant in Andhra Pradesh. The MU-X will replace the MU-7 SUV, which was being assembled by Hindustan Motors.

The MU-X SUV is based on the same platform as that of the D-Max V-Cross and follows the same styling cues. The front fascia of the MU-X is identical to the V-Cross pickup truck.

But, the MU-X being a full-fledged SUV, it features third-row seats, and rear of the SUV gets revised tail lamps and a new bumper. Chevrolet Trailblazer is also based on the same underpinnings.

Isuzu India will offer the MU-X in both 4x4 and 4x2 variants and with an option of manual or automatic transmission. The SUV draws power from existing 3-litre oil burner.

With the MU-X being locally manufactured, we can expect the SUV to be aggressively priced in the Indian market. When launched in India, the MU-X will rival the likes of Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
