India’s First Volkswagen Tiguan Delivered To Customer
Volkswagen recently launched the Tiguan SUV in the Indian market and now the country's first Tiguan has been delivered to the customer.
German car manufacturer Volkswagen recently launched its new SUV, the Tiguan in the Indian market. Now the very first SUV is delivered to the customer.
Launched with a starting price of Rs 27.68 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai), the first Tiguan is delivered to Sundaresan Mallikarjun Duggu at the Volkswagen dealership in Hyderabad.
The second-generation Tiguan SUV is built on the VV Group's flexible MQB platform. The Tiguan is available in India in two trim levels - Comfortline and Highline. The company offers the SUV only in the diesel variant.
The 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan draws power from a 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine producing 141bhp and 340Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 7-speed automatic DSG transmission.
The Tiguan is equipped with safety features such as six airbags, hill start assist, auto hold, self-sealing tyres and pedestrian safety. Apart from that the SUV features LED headlamps and DRLs, sunroof, electric ORVMs and easy open boot.
The India-spec Tiguan is available in 5-seater configuration. The interior of the SUV features touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable front seats and climate control.
The rear of the Tiguan is equipped with roof mounted spoiler, LED tail lights and a tailgate which is easy to operate with a touch of a button.
