India’s Fastest-Growing Luxury Car Brand Revealed
German luxury car maker BMW has registered a growth of 11.5 percent in the period of January to June 2017.
German luxury car maker BMW has registered a growth of 11.5 percent in the period of January to June 2017. The automaker has retained the crown of fastest-growing luxury car brand in the country.
In the first half of 2017, BMW recorded a sales figure of 4,589 units. BMW's rival company, Mercedes-Benz has also announced its growth in the Q2. The growth stands at 18 percent, Mercedes-Benz's best quarter.
Both the luxury car makers have reported a healthy growth in the Indian market. This hints that the luxury cars are finding more buyers and especially with the GST, the numbers will go up.
After announcing the sales figures, BMW India President, Vikram Pawah stated that the company would move forward with the same intent to set new benchmarks in the industry.

Despite the effect of GST on the automobile industry, BMW has recorded healthy sales figures. And post-GST, the prices of the luxury cars have gone down. This will result in more sales in the luxury car segment.
