Most Preferred Variant Of The All-New Hyundai Verna Revealed
Hyundai says 90 percent of buyers are opting for the top variant of the new Verna sedan.
The new Hyundai Verna was launched with a competitive price tag; however, the Goods and Service Tax (GST) made the sedan slightly expensive over its competitors.
However, the price increase has not deterred car buyers as there is a considerable demand for the new Verna. All the more interesting is that the most preferred variant of the new Hyundai Verna is the top two variants: SX and SX+.

As per reports by Financial Express, the Korean carmaker revealed the preference of car buyers of the variants of the new sedan.
In an interview with Financial Express, Rakesh Srivastava, Director, Sales & Marketing, HMIL said that "90 percent of Verna customers appreciate its unique features such as smart infotainment system, electric sunroof, hands-free boot opening and ventilated seats."

The variants that contribute 90 percent of the sale of the new Verna are the SX and SX+, and 25 percent of the car's sales come from the automatic transmission. Another detail that he revealed was that 60 percent of the Verna buyers prefer diesel over the petrol model.

While the Hyundai Verna led the market when it was launched for the first time in India, product fatigue made it unpopular among car buyers in India. However, with the new Verna, the demand for the sedan has increased, thanks to its premium features.

The new Hyundai Verna comes with 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. The former produces 125bhp and 153Nm of torque, while the latter churns out 125bhp and 260Nm of torque. Both the units are offered with a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. The top-variant SX comes with dual airbags and ABS as standard, while the SX+ trim adds four more airbags.
