Hyundai Reina Revealed; Based On The Outgoing Verna
The all-new Hyundai Reina sedan revealed at the Chongqing motor show in China; will come with a single 1.4-petrol unit.
Hyundai has taken the wraps off the new Reina sedan in China, which is actually an updated version of the current-generation Verna (internally codenamed as RB) which is on sale in India.
The Hyundai Reina receives new styling based on the company's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language.

The Reina's front styling is more in sync with the current-generation Hyundais like the Elantra sedan and the all-new Verna. The all-new Verna is yet to hit the Indian roads.Hyundai has not confirmed if the Reina will be introduced in India. However, the all-new Verna is expected to be launched later this year.

The Reina receives a large hexagonal grille with bigger and swept-back headlamps, and the bumper receives subtle creases with triangular fog lamps up front.
On the side profile, the sedan is similar to the current-generation Verna, whose styling is based on the original Fluidic Sculpture design language.

As for the rear profile, the Reina receives similar tail-lamps seen on the pre-facelift Xcent in India, though a bit larger in size. The licence plate is placed on the rear bumper.

Inside the cabin, the Reina is expected to feature similar dashboard, like the outgoing Verna, with subtle bits and more add-on features for its infotainment system.

Powering the Hyundai Reina, the company is offering a single 1.4-litre petrol engine churning out 93bhp and comes paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic.

Hyundai future plans for India includesthe next-gen Verna, the heavily updated i20 hatchback and the Ioniq hybrid car.
