The 2017 Grand i10 was spotted testing in India several times. The test vehicle was camouflaged and it didn't reveal many details about the styling until it was unveiled in Paris.
Hyundai took four months to decide the launch of the new model and it will feature several exterior as well as interior changes. Outside, the car will sport a new front grille integrates with DRLs, new front and rear bumper and restyled tail light section. However, the headlamp design remains the same.
The 2017 Grand i10 will also feature sport fog-lamp enclosures and diamond-cut alloy wheels. It will also get minor interior tweaks like new colours and an updated infotainment system.
The model will use the same existing engines; 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine and a 1.1-litre three-cylinder U2 VGT motor. Among them, only petrol motor will come with an optional 4-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 will compete in the entry-level hatchback segment with Ford Figo, Chevrolet Beat and the Tata Tiago.
The launch of the new model will give an initial boost in sales for the South Korean manufacturer which registered a growth decline of 4.3 percent in the domestic market last month.
