Hyundai Readying All Out Assault On Indian Roads — No Rival Is Safe
Hyundai has lined up a family compact car, hybrid, SUV among others to cater to the Indian demand.
India's second largest carmaker, Hyundai Motor Company has big plans for the Indian market for the next four years.

The South Korean automaker is planning to launch eight new cars in the next four years to accelerate its growth in the country. Among these, three will be in new segments, and the remaining five cars will get a facelift.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd's (HMIL's) Managing Director Y K Koo said that the company would bring at least ten new products to India, including eight new launches in the next four years.

Among the launches, Hyundai has launched the facelifted Grand i10, and this will be followed by a car for the compact segment as well as a sedan for the mid-segment.

In 2018, Hyundai will launch the new Ioniq hybrid car, positioned in the same segment as the Elantra.

Also, the mid-segment has been a bit of a let down for Hyundai as the Verna has not beenselling in numbers compared to when it was launched. The main reason for the lower sales of Verna is because competitors have brought in new technology and features.

And by the end of 2018, the company will launch a family compact car and will not be a tall boy designed car.

As for 2019, Hyundai will launch a sub-four meter compact SUV and will compete with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.

The Hyundai Verna is sold under different names in other international markets. In Canada, it is called the Accent, below is an extensive photo gallery of the new Hyundai Verna, click to view.
