Hyundai i20 N In The Works; To Arrive In 2018
Hyundai is due to launch its first N branded hatchback, the company will also introduce the i20 N.
South Korean car maker Hyundai is set to launch its first N branded hatchback, but as per emerging reports, several other models are also in the works.
AutoExpress reports that Hyundai is planning to launch the i20 N hot hatch in 2018. It is expected that after the development the Veloster N, Hyundai will start working on the i20 N.

Out of all the N models from Hyundai, the i20 is the most luring one as the company uses the i20 Coupe WRC in the FIA World Rally Championship.
The Director of Hyundai N division, Albert Biermann said, "Of course. Why would we limit ourselves to C-segment? There are tons of hot superminis out there - Polo GTI, Fiesta ST, Peugeot 208 and even Toyota now is doing one [Yaris GRMN]. There's a good market out there."

The Hyundai i20 N is likely to feature a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine producing 200bhp. The hot hatch would be a front-wheel-drive, and the top-of-the-range model might feature electronic differential.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The i20 is already a successful product for the Korean automaker. The N variant of the hatchback will rival the likes of Ford Fiesta ST, Volkswagen Polo GTI and Toyota Yaris GRNM. On the design front, the i20 N might look somewhat similar to the current i20 WRC, but without the dramatic aerodynamic upgrades.
