Hyundai is gearing up to launch the refreshed version of its popular Creta SUV to India. While the facelifted model is already on sale in other markets, India is yet to get the facelifted Creta.

India is a significant market for the Korean carmaker, and with the Creta finding favour in the country, the company will not leave any stone unturned before its launch. The Creta facelift was spotted testing the hilly region of Yercaud situated in Tamil Nadu, and there is just image of the camouflaged SUV. Nothing much can be seen from the image, but we expect the facelift model to feature Hyundai's new front grille design, a cascading styling in sync with other Hyundais.

Also, expected changes include revised bumpers, new plastic cladding and refreshed interiors. Inside, the Creta facelift is expected to feature new infotainment system along the refreshed dashboard and several other bits to give the SUV an upmarket touch.

Mechanically, the facelifted version is expected to be powered by the current list of four engines: 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre in petrol and diesel engines. We expect Hyundai to launch the Creta facelift early 2018.

The Hyundai Creta is currently one of the best-selling cars in the company, and with the facelift, the popularity is expected to add more value, and a premium touch to the SUV.
