Honda is all set for the launch of its latest offering, the WR-V compact crossover. Ahead of that the WR-V was spotted at a dealership stockyard in Kerala.
Honda is gearing up for the launch of its compact crossover, the WR-V in India and the manufacturer has already started shipping the vehicle to its dealerships.

The WR-V was unveiled in Brazil last year and the new compact crossover is said to be the key product for the Japanese automaker in the Indian market. Now, TeamBHP has spotted the WR-V at a dealership stockyard in Trivandrum, Kerala.

Taking a closer look at the images, the spotted model is a VX Trim and is expected to be a top-of-the-range model in the WR-V lineup.

The exterior of the new WR-V features new headlamp assemblies, circular fog lamps, faux skid plates on the front and rear bumpers, ORVM integrated turn indicators, silver roof rails, diamond cut alloy wheels, chrome door handles and chrome strip above the number plate housing on the tailgate.

The interior of the WR-V is identical to its hatchback sibling, the Jazz. However, it looks like the infotainment system has been borrowed from the 2017 City. Other features include revamped seat upholstery, new gear lever and engine start/stop button.

The India-spec WR-V is expected to draw power from a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.2-litre petrol engine. The petrol engine might come with a 5-speed manual gearbox and the diesel unit is expected to get a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

The WR-V is expected to be launched in India on March 16, 2017. The compact crossover might carry a price tag of Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 9.5 lakh.

When launched the WR-V will rival the likes of Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, i20 Active, Volkswagen Cross Polo, Toyota Etios Liva and Fiat Avventura Urban Cross.
