The Honda WR-V is a much talked about crossover that is to launch in India soon. Information is still vague as Honda has not officially launched the vehicle in India, and here are all the details you need to know about the Honda WR-V - everything.

Honda WR-V India Launch Date
The Honda WR-V India launch date is March 16, 2017. The Japanese carmaker has already started accepting bookings for the new sub-4-metre crossover for a price of Rs 21,000.

Honda WR-V Design
The Honda WR-V is based on the Honda Jazz platform, and the crossover features a sharp design, with a high bonnet and a relatively low shoulder line, a typical Honda design philosophy. The overall silhouette looks similar to a Jazz, but with loads of ground clearance. The bold front grille finished in chrome adorns the ‘Honda' logo, which blends neatly between the headlights.

Honda WR-V Dimensions
As mentioned earlier, the Honda WR-V will be competing in the sub-4-metre crossover category in India. The new crossover from Honda is 3999mm long, 1734mm wide, 1601mm tall, and the wheelbase measures 2555mm. Also, the Honda WR-V has a ground clearance of 188mm.

Honda WR-V Engine Specification And Gearbox
The Honda WR-V will be offered with an optional diesel and petrol engines. The diesel engine will be a 1.5-litre unit that will produce 99bhp and 200Nm of torque, while the 1.2-litre petrol engine will generate 89bhp and 110Nm of peak torque.
The WR-V will be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox paired with the petrol engine, and the diesel engine will get a 6-speed manual gearbox. Honda has not confirmed a CVT version yet, which could arrive in due course of time.

Honda WR-V Mileage
Mileage is an important factor, and Honda claims that the petrol version of the WR-V will return 17.5km/l and the diesel variant of the crossover will return 25.5km/l.

Honda WR-V Features
Regarding features, the Honda WR-V has wrap around headlights with integrated LED DRLs, integrated fog lamps in the front bumper, body cladding, skid plates, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and LED tail lamps.
Inside, the new Honda crossover will sport a cabin similar to the Honda Jazz it's based on, with two colour schemes: black with blue and black with silver.
On the creature comfort list, the WR-V will have a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, voice recognition, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity; electric sunroof, keyless entry, start/ stop button, and automatic climate control.

Safety Features On The Honda WR-V
On the safety aspect, the new Honda WR-V that will launch this month will have Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), dual front airbags, multi-angle rearview camera, and a manual brake override system.

Honda WR-V Competition In India
The Honda WR-V, being a crossover will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and the Ford EcoSport primarily. Other rivals in the Indian market include the Hyundai i20 Active, Toyota Etios Cross, Volkswagen Cross Polo, and the Fiat Avventura.

Honda WR-V Price In India
The Honda WR-V price in India is expected to be between Rs 6.8 to Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). If Honda can get the pricing right, the Honda WR-V could be a very successful model in India for the Japanese carmaker.
