Japanese automaker Honda is all geared up for the launch of the new City facelift sedan in India on February 14. The company has already started accepting orders for the new version of the popular sedan with a booking amount of Rs 21,000.

The 2017 Honda City comes with tweaked exterior design and also includes new features including a new LED package, enhanced safety package, etc. Several spy shots of the new model were leaked on the internet, but now, Honda India is teasing the facelift model in its website.

The facelift City features LED headlamp with DRLs, LED taillight, LED spoiler light and 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The model now gets a new bumper and the front grille is now sleeker resembling the new Civic.

Honda has also revised the interior and the car now features leather upholstery with redesigned front seats and touchscreen infotainment system which Honda co-developed with Blaupunkt.

Yoichiro Ueno, Honda Cars India President and CEO said in a statement, "The Honda City has been our most successful model ever since the start of operations in the country.

The new City facelift is expected to priced at around Rs 8 lakh - Rs 15 lakh. The 2017 model will continue to use the same engine options as the ongoing variants.

The 2017 City will draw power from a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol motor that delivers 117bhp of power and 145Nm of torque. The petrol engine will be mated to a five-speed manual and CVT gearboxes.

The diesel variants will also use the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC motor that produces 99bhp of power and 200Nm of torque, and it comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
