Gurgaon To Jaipur Travel Time To Be Cut To Just 90 Minutes
Highway Minister, Nitin Gadkari stated that Government has proposed a new super expressway on which the travelling time from Gurugram to Jaipur will be just 90 minutes.
The travelling distance between Gurugram and Jaipur is becoming lesser with the Government of India planning to construct a new highway.

The proposed project is a new highway called as a superhighway which claims to cover the distance between Gurugram and Jaipur in just 90 minutes. Minister of Highways, Nitin Gadkari stated that the construction of the highway would commence soon.

The distance between Gurugram and Jaipur is 260km. The proposed super highway will cover a distance of 200km on the outskirts of the city.

But with the current speed limit, which is 100km/h for expressways and 90km/h for highways, it is impossible to cover the distance in just 90 minutes. Gadkari stated that government would notify different speed limits for such super expressways.

Speaking to TOI, Gadkari said, "We will revise the maximum speed limit. The proposed expressway will take off from the outskirts of Gurgaon and join Jaipur Ring Road (on the outer periphery of the city)."

He added, "We expect this total stretch to be around 200 km. Since it will be access controlled, one can maintain high speed all along the expressway." In March 2016, Gadkari said that Centre would enhance the present speed limit to 130-140kmph on expressways.
