Four Indian Teams To Represent Country At RFC Finals In Malaysia
Four Indian teams will participate this year at RFC Malaysia for the finals. Read more to know who the top four teams are.
This year, four top teams from the Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India will compete at the grand finale of the event that will take place in Malaysia. Previously, only the winning team (driver and co-driver) was given this opportunity.
The teams that will accompany the winning team this year (Gurmeet Virdi and co-driver Kirpal Singh Tung from Gerrari Offroaders) in Malaysia will be Jagat Nanjappa and Chetan Changappa(V5 Offroaders), Sanbir Singh Dhaliwal and Gurpartap Singh (Gerrari Offroaders), and Siddartha Santosh and Prithviraj AC (BODA).
This year, the winning team will also get a sponsorship of up to $3,000 towards competition vehicle rental.
Sanbir Singh Dhaliwal and Gurpartap Singh from Gerrari Offroaders, despite being eliminated in the first Special Stage in 2016, proved to be a worthy competitor in this year's event by finishing fourth.
Commenting on this decision by Cougar Motorsport to send four teams to Malaysia, Gurmeet Virdi said, "When only one team from a country is participating, there is a grave feeling of isolation which eventually affects your overall performance. But sending top four teams is a phenomenal decision."

Four Indian teams to represent the country in Malaysia in what is regarded as one of the toughest forms of motorsports is great news.
