Formula E Paris ePrix: Mahindra Racing Scores Best Ever Points Finish
Mahindra Racing has scored its best ever points finish in the Paris ePrix. Nick Heidfeld and Felix Rosenqvist finished third and fourth respectively.
Mahindra Racing has scored its second consecutive podium finish in the FIA Formula E championship. The team achieved double points finish at the Paris ePrix.

Mahindra Racing driver Nick Heidfeld continued from where he left off a week ago and finished the Paris ePrix in a brilliant third place. His teammate Felix Rosenqvist finished fourth to give the team double points finish.

In the Monaco ePrix held last weekend, both the Mahindra Racing drivers finished in third and sixth position. And this performance is a lot improved as the cars also performed well.

All the four M3Electro race cars of Mahindra Racing performed very well in the 49-lap race around the Les Invalides street circuit in Paris. The drivers matched the pace of race leaders.

Mahindra Racing drivers started the race in fifth and sixth. But on the first lap, Heidfeld moved up to fourth. Rosenqvist also managed to gain positions. A crash forced the drivers to make early pit stops.

The Mahindra Racing duo successfully swapped the car and also moved up a place when Jean-Eric Vergne made contact with a barrier. The result allows Mahindra Racing to close the gap to ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport in the team standings.

Heidfeld said, "It's great to have two podiums in a row. This is one of the best circuits of the season and you simply cannot beat the surroundings. It was another exciting race and the good thing is that we were a lot more competitive than we were in Monaco."

The race victory went to Sebastien Buemi, his fifth win of the season. DS Virgin rookie driver Jose Maria Lopez finished in the second position. The next race will be held in Berlin from June 10 to June 11, 2017.
