2018 Ford Mustang To Receive Line-Lock Feature As Standard — Unleash Those Smoky Burnouts!
Ford will fit the line lock feature on the 2018 models of the Mustang as standard.
The electronically-controlled, burnout-enabling line-lock feature that introduced on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT will be standard on all 2018 Mustangs, including those powered by the 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine.
The line-lock feature was available only on the V8 GT Mustangs. Beginning with the restyled 2018 Mustang, all variants will now have access to the line lock technology.

Line-lock is activated through an on-screen menu and employs only the front brakes to enable you to spin the rear wheels while keeping the car stationary. Its primary purpose is to help warm up the tyres before a run down a drag strip, but it's just as good at making it easier for you to perform a smoky burnout.
Other enhancements to the 2018 Mustang include a new front end with LED headlights, magnetorheological shocks, upgraded sway bars and a new active exhaust system.
