Ford India Recalls Figo And Fiesta Classic For Possible Hose Issues — Is Yours On The List?
Ford India, via its dealers, will replace the high-pressure power assisted steering hose on all affected vehicles such as Figo and Fiesta Classic.
Ford India is voluntarily inspecting Fiesta Classic sedan and previous generation Figo hatchback. Close to 39,315 have been hit by a potential concern related to high-pressure power assisted steering hose.
Previous generation Ford Figo and the Fiesta Classic manufactured in Chennai facility between 2004 and 2012 carry a risk of a potential issue on its high-pressure power assisted steering hose.
Ford India, via its dealers, will replace the high-pressure power assisted steering hose on all affected vehicles such as Figo and Fiesta Classic.
In a statement, the company said, "Ford remains committed to delivering world-class quality vehicles to its customers, and this voluntary safety recall is part of that commitment,"In 2013, Ford India had recalled 1,66,021 units of Figo and Fiesta Classic models to rectify faulty rear twist beam and the power steering hose.
And in 2016, it recalled 42,300 units of the new generation Figo and compact sedan Figo Aspire to fix a software malfunction which could potentially lead to malfunctioning of airbags during an accident.
