Spy Pics: Ford Figo Sports Variant Spotted At A Dealer Stockyard
Cosmetic changes are expected, and inside the cabin, the new Figo variant might be updated with dual tone seat upholstery and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Ford India will add a new variant in its Figo lineup in the form of a Sports variant, while the company hasn't yet made an official revelation about this new variant, the new Figo Sports has been spotted at one of the company's dealership stockyard ahead of its launch in India.

As per these spy pictures by Team-BHP, the Figo Sports variant will receive some notable changes on the outside. It includes smoked out headlights, new mesh grille at the front, new black alloy wheels and a dual tone colour scheme with the roof and ORVMs receiving a black treatment. The lower panels of the door and the rear bumper also receives some plastic moulding.

There are no photos of the cabin, but we believe that Ford will include dual tone seat upholstery and leather-wrapped steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system and cruise control options for this variant.

Mechanically, the new Figo Sports will continue to be powered by the same mill which powers the standard model. Ford's 1.2-litre petrol engine,1.5-litre petrol engine and the 1.5-litre diesel engine are expected to power the new variant.

As for the specifications of the powertrains for the Figo Sports, the 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 86bhp of power and 112Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel engine develops 97bhp of power and 215Nm of torque.

Both the units are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Additionally, the hatchback also receives a 1.5-litre petrol engine with automatic gearbox, available only in Titanium & Titanium plus variants.

The manual gearbox option is offered in all the variants of Figo- Base, Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium Plus.

Prices for the new Figo Sports variant is expected to be Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 more compared to the standard model.
