The spotted model features a black cladding across the body which suggests that Ford is working on a crossover based on the Figo facelift for the Indian market.
The Figo Cross is shod with black alloy wheels, which looks a bit odd due to its small size as compared to the vehicle. The crossover also gets roof rails. The spotted model is completely wrapped in camouflage livery to hide the design elements.
Ford already retails the Ka Trail, a crossover hatchback based on the Ford Ka (Figo) in foreign markets such as South America. Now, it looks like the American automaker is bringing the model to India which is based on the updated Figo.
Previously it was reported that the updated Figo hatchback and the Figo Aspire compact sedan would be equipped with the new Dragon petrol engines. The Figo Cross is also expected to make use of the same new motor.
Ford is likely to debut the facelifted Figo at the 2018 Auto Expo. The crossover iteration of the Figo is expected to be launched in 2018 along with the Figo facelift. The Figo Cross will take on the likes of Hyundai i20 Active, Toyota Etios Cross and Honda WR-V in the Indian market.
