Ford India is all set to introduce the cross variant of the Figo hatchback which is likely to be named as Figo Cross. The vehicle has been spotted several times testing on Indian roads.
Now, CarWale has spotted the production version of the Figo Cross, completely undisguised and more details of the vehicle has been revealed. Here is all you need to know about the upcoming Figo Cross.

Design
The overall design of the Figo Cross is butch and rugged as opposed to the Figo hatchback. The front fascia of the cross variant features black mesh grille, sweptback smoked headlamps, circular fog lamps, new bumper with black air dam and faux skid plate.

The side profile of the Figo Cross sports blacked out B-pillar and ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, black plastic cladding running across the body and wheel arches and chrome strip on the base of the window. The Figo Cross is equipped with roof rails and LED tail lamps.
The recently spotted model is finished in the copper brown colour scheme and gets black racing stripes running across the bonnet and roof. The body cladding and newly design front end make the Figo Cross more butch looking as opposed to its hatchback sibling.

Interior
The interior of the Ford Figo Cross gets a newly designed dashboard with new instrument cluster and centre console. It is also expected to share some components with the Figo hatchback.
Features
The Ford Figo Cross will be offered with features such as all-new floating touchscreen infotainment system flanked by air vents on either side. There are AC control dials which means the climate control system has been given a miss. The Fogo Cross is expected to get safety features such as dual airbags, ABS and EBD as standard. The top-spec model might feature six airbags, reverse parking camera and much more.
Specifications
The Ford Figo Cross is expected to draw power from the Ford's all-new 1.2-litre Dragon series petrol engine producing 95bhp and 115Nm of torque, which is the most powerful in its class. The cross variant of the Figo is also expected to get the 1.5-litre diesel engine.

Both the engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Ford might also offer automatic transmission on the Figo Cross. The currently sold Figo hatchback and Aspire sedan features a DCT gearbox which could also be offered with the Figo Cross.

The upcoming Ford Figo Cross will be the first crossover vehicle from the stable of American carmaker in the Indian market. The Figo Cross sports rugged design with redesigned front and rear profile. When launched, the Figo Cross will lock horns with the likes of Hyundai i20 Active, Toyota Etios Cross and Fiat Urban Cross. Expect the pricing to be around Rs 5 lakh ex-showroom.
