Ford India has discontinued two variants of the Endeavour SUV in India. The company has trimmed down the model list by stopping the manual gearbox Endeavour as well as cut the prices of a variant.
With the change in the model list of the Ford Endeavour in India, the SUV now comes with three from the previous five models. Ford India had previously discontinued the base 2.2 4x2 Trend trim last year.

This time around, Ford India has stopped the sales of the 2.2 4x4 MT Trend and 3.2 4x4 AT Trend variants. Now, the Ford Endeavour will be available in 2.2 4x2 AT Trend, 2.2 4x2 AT Titanium and 3.2 4x4 AT Titanium, which leaves us with the option of an automatic gearbox models only.
Much of the changes is being attributed to the lower sales of the Endeavour when compared to its rival, Toyota Fortuner. This has prompted Ford India to re-strategise and decrease the number of variants of the Endeavour.

DriveSpark Thinks!
With increased competition from Toyota Fortuner, Ford India has moved to cut its offering in the Endeavour variants. Also, this could be because there is not much of a demand for the manual variants of the SUV. The Ford Endeavour is a capable and agile SUV with a stylish outlook; it is still a good buy if you are looking to buy a Ford manufactured vehicle.
