Ford EcoSport Facelift India Launch Details Revealed
Ford is all set to launch the updated EcoSport in the Indian market.
Ford is all set to launch the updated EcoSport in the Indian market. Autocar India reports that the EcoSport facelift will be launched in the country in October 2017.
The new EcoSport will feature changes to the exterior and interior design and will be equipped with new Dragon series petrol engines.
The front end of the updated EcoSport features a host of changes. The new hexagonal grille, sharper headlamp design and revamped front bumper are in line with the new Ford models. The side and the rear profiles are unchanged and will feature the tailgate-mounted spare wheel.
The interior of the EcoSport facelift has been revamped, but the overall design of the dashboard is identical to the currently sold model. The centre console is redesigned with new touchscreen infotainment system.
Apart from that the interior of the refreshed compact SUV gets new steering wheel and instrument cluster and body-coloured inserts.

The new Dragon series petrol engines will make its India debut with the facelifted EcoSport. The petrol variant of the compact SUV will draw power from a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine producing 120bhp. Ford might also introduce a 1.2-litre engine for the base variant.
The diesel version of the EcoSport facelift will be powered by a 1.5-litre engine producing 100bhp. The automaker could also retain the 1-litre Ecoboost petrol engine.
Coming to the features, the 2017 EcoSport will sport a new touchscreen infotainment system with Ford's SYNC 3 software, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Apart from that the compact SUV is likely to get cruise control, speed limiter function, rear-view camera and automatic climate control.

The updated EcoSport features extensive changes to the front end and a new set of Dragon series petrol engines. The new compact SUV will face fierce competition from the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra TUV 300.
