Spy Pics: Ford Aspire S Spotted At A Dealer Stockyard
Changes on the Ford Aspire S are cosmetic, and inside the cabin, the new variant might be updated with dual tone seat upholstery and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Ford India will add a new variant to the Aspire compact sedan in the form of an Aspire S, while the American carmaker hasn't yet made an official announcement about this new variant, the new Aspire S has been spotted at one of the company's dealership stockyard ahead of its launch in India.
As per the spy pics by Autosarena, the Ford Aspire S receives fewer changes. Instead of a mesh grille seen on the Ford Figo Sports, the Aspire S has the regular grille design with black slats.
The new Ford Aspire S sits on the 15-inch dual 5-spoke alloy wheels and has a decal running across the side with ‘S' branding. Also, the headlights feature black elements.
Although the interior is not revealed, it seems that the Aspire S will have a black interior rather than a dual tone beige and black combination.
The interiors could also feature exclusive seat covers with ‘S' branding, ‘S' floor carpets, leather-wrapped steering wheel and a touchscreen infotainment system.
Mechanically, the new Aspire S will continue to be powered by the same engines which power the standard model. Ford's 1.2-litre petrol engine,1.5-litre petrol engine and the 1.5-litre diesel engine are expected to power the new Aspire S compact sedan.
Currently, Ford offers the 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 86bhp of power and 112Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel engine develops 97bhp of power and 215Nm of torque on the Aspire's standard model.
Both the motors come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Also, Ford offers a 1.5-litre petrol engine with automatic gearbox, available only in Titanium & Titanium plus variants.
Prices for the new Ford Aspire S is expected to be Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 dearer than the standard model.
