FCA To Introduce Officer Protection Package With The 2017 Dodge Charger Pursuit
Dodge will introduce Officer Protection Package with every 2017 Charger Pursuit car, that will help keep police officers safe.
The world is scary enough, but when you hear news saying police officers need protection, it just gets scarier. FCA has has worked with InterMotive Inc. to supply safety technology to police officers that will detect movement behind the vehicle.
According to InterMotive, the Officer Protection Package is designed to help keep an officer aware when he is parked and is working inside the vehicle. The system uses a combination of radars and the rear-view camera to alert the police officer if there is anyone moving behind the vehicle to ambush the cop.
The device can be manually switched on, and plugs into the car's OBDII port. When activated, the system will automatically roll up the windows and lock the doors if it detects any movement behind the car.
Also, the officer will be able to see what is going on behind the car with the help of the rear view camera. And the best part — FCA will install this safety equipment in every 2017 Dodge Charger Pursuit free of cost.
