Dodge Gets Ready To Unleash The Demon — Teases Blistering Quarter Mile Time
Dodge has revealed the final two teasers for the upcoming Challenger SRT Demon.
American carmaker Dodge has released the final two teaser videos for the upcoming Challenger SRT Demon. The two videos, the 13th and 14th in a series of teaser videos are called, 'Fuel' and 'Judgement Day'.

The first video talks about the Demon's fuel system. The Demon is the first ever, factory production car designed to run on either track-preferred 100+ high-octane unleaded fuel or 91-octane unleaded fuel on demand.
Shipped separately to the drag strip focused Challenger SRT Demon, the Direct Connection Performance parts set includes a new powertrain control module (PCM) calibrated for the high-octane fuel and a new switch bank for the centre console that includes a high octane button.
When running on Race fuel, the Direct Connection controller enables the supercharged HEMI engine to extract the maximum power from the knock-resistant high-octane fuel by optimising spark timing.

The PCM allows the Demon to sprint down the drag strip at speeds a lot quicker than a regular road car. This brings us to the second video which shows the car sprinting down the strip and considering how fast the Hellcat was, we expect the Demon to scorch the tarmac, maybe a 10-second sprint.
The Demon arrives in New York on April 11 at the New York Auto Show.
