Clicking Pictures Of Illegally Parked Cars Can Earn You Money — Here’s How
Nitin Gadkari has asked to click pictures of illegally parked cars and sen it to authorities.
With the increase in the number of vehicles in India, the parking is becoming a challenge, especially in metro cities. Illegal parking has become common nowadays as there is no proper rule in place.
Now, the Transport Minister of India, Nitin Gadkari has come up with a unique idea to stop illegal parking of vehicles.
Gadkari has asked the citizens to click the picture of the illegally parked car and send it to the authorities. To encourage the move, he also proposed a 10 percent reward to the person sending the picture in the imposed fine of Rs 500 for illegally parking the car.
Gadkari also said that he was ashamed because of the absence of the parking lots outside his own ministry which forced the ‘ambassadors' and ‘big people' to park their cars on the road and blocking the road which leads to the parliament.

Gadkari said, "In my Motor Vehicle Act, I am going to add one law (provision). Any car on road, you just take the photo on your mobile and send it to the department concerned or Police. There will be Rs 500 fine and 10 percent will go to the complainant."
Gadkari was speaking to reporters during the laying of foundation stone for his own Ministry's automated parking lot. The Minister said that the Transport Ministry had to wait for nine months to get approval for the construction of a parking lot.
The automated parking lot will be constructed at the Transport Bhavan, which will be the first government building to be equipped with an automatic parking facility. The entire project is worth Rs 9 crore.
The new parking facility will include seven floors and a ground floor spread across 314 square metres and 22 metres in height. The parking lot can accommodate 112 cars at a time, with a car retrieving time of 120 seconds.
