Chevrolet Reveals Race-Ready Camaro GT4.R — Check Out That Massive Rear Wing
The race-ready Camaro GT4.R draws power from an upgraded version of the naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter LT1 V8 of the Camaro SS.
Chevrolet has unveiled the new race-ready Camaro GT4.R which will compete in this year's Pirelli World Challenge and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge. The new model will race against the likes of Ford, Mercedes-AMG, BMW, Porsche, and McLaren.

The race-ready Camaro GT4.R draws power from an upgraded version of the naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter LT1 V8 of the Camaro SS. The power output is sent through a six-speed paddle-shift transmission and limited-slip differential driving the rear wheels and sourced from Xtrac.

The bodywork is inspired by the street-legal, track-ready 650bhp Camaro ZL1 1LE. The GT4.R features the same massive front grille and fascia. Other unique design touches include plastic windows, new side skirts, race-spec wheels and tyres and an enormous rear wing.

The Camaro GT4.R will make its track debut this weekend with Blackdog Speed Shop. The team will run two examples in the Pirelli World Challenge season opener at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
