The 2017 Geneva Motor Show had a lot to offer in the automotive world, and those cars that were launched or showcased there will not restricted to the show alone — some of them will make it to India. Here's a list of cars coming to India from Geneva Motor Show.

Tata Tigor

The Tata Tigor ‘Style Back' as the carmaker calls it was debuted at the Geneva Motor Show, and the car is scheduled to launch in India this month. The Tigor is the newest sub-compact sedan from Tata Motors and will compete with other models such as the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, and the Hyundai Xcent.

The Tata Tigor will get the same petrol and diesel engines that currently power the Tata Tiago hatchback, a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that makes 84bhp and the 1.05-litre three-cylinder diesel engine that makes 69bhp.

Tata Nexon

The Tata Nexon, another anticipated vehicle people, are looking forward to. The Nexon, a compact SUV was spotted testing numerous times and was also showcased as a concept at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. When launched, the Nexon will compete against the Mahindra TUV300, Ford EcoSport, and the segment leader, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

The new Maruti Suzuki Swift made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, which is currently on sale in Japan. The Swift is expected to launch in India too, replacing the current model. The hatchback, being one of the best-sellers for Maruti Suzuki is expected to be showcased, or even launched during the 2018 Auto Expo.

The Skoda Octavia RS is a popular performance oriented sedan, and at the Geneva Motor Show, the Czech carmaker showcased the most powerful iteration of the RS, called the RS 245. Named after the per output the car produces, the Octavia RS 245 will sure be a hit amongst enthusiasts.

The new Skoda Octavia RS 245 will come powered by a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine and can achieve a top speed of 250km/h. Globally, the RS 245 is sold as a wagon and as a sedan, but in India, only the sedan version is expected.

The Tamo Racemo comes with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 186bhp and 210Nm of torque, with the help of a 6-speed AMT gearbox. As per Tata Motors, the Tamo Racemo can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 6 seconds.

Kia Picanto

Kia, the South Korean carmakers showcased the Picanto hatchback and has been scouting for land in India too, to set up a factory. The Kia Picanto is expected to be the first launch by the carmaker and will on sale with three engine options.

The first one will be a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 66bhp, a turbocharged version of the same engine that will produce 99bhp, and the third option is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine that will make 83bhp.

Range Rover Velar

Land Rover, owned by Tata Motors unveiled the new Range Rover Velar before the Geneva Motor Show. The new SUV has the same underpinnings as the Jaguar F-Pace and sits between the Range Rover Evoque and the Range Rover Sport.

It is only a matter of time until the vehicle makes it to India and will go on sale with a choice of two petrol and diesel engines, both in two states of tunes. The 2.0-litre petrol engine is available in either a 247bhp and 365Nm of torque configuration or 296bhp and 400Nm torque setup, while the 2.0-litre diesel engine will produce 178bhp and 430Nm of torque or 237bhp and 500Nm of torque.

Volvo has seen decent sales in India, although it is far behind the three big German brands. The XC60 is a popular SUV, and the most recently updated version made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The XC60 gets loads of tech, including a semi-autonomous driving system that can steer, accelerate, and brake up to speeds of 130km/h.

The Volvo XC60 comes with a hybrid T8 engine that makes 401bhp, along with a D4 diesel engine that makes 190bhp and a D5 diesel engine which produces 235bhp. Volvo even offers two turbocharged and supercharged petrol engines that make 250bhp and 315bhp.

Audi RS5 Coupe

Audi is determined to become the leading luxury carmaker in India and has already mentioned its plans. Part of the plan is to launch performance oriented cars like the Audi RS5, showcased at the Geneva Motor Show.

Unveiled long before the Geneva Motor Show, Skoda decided to showcase the Kodiaq at the famed motor show in Swiss. The Kodiaq is expected to make its entry into India soon and customers are already keen to own one.
