The patent images of the all-new BMW X2 has been leaked on the internet.
The patent images of the all-new BMW X2 has been leaked on the internet. The renderings of the small SUV have appeared in the Japanese Patent Office (JPO).
BMW showcased the X2 at the 2016 Paris Motor Show as a concept model.By looking at the leaked images, the SUV seems to be a production-ready version.
The front fascia of the X2 is less aggressive than the concept model. The SUV gets a redesigned front bumper and slightly bigger headlamps. In the side profile, the X2 features regular door handles.
The larger ORVMs have replaced the sleek units of the concept X2. But the shape of the side windows remains identical to the concept model. The rear of the SUV also features small exhaust outlets and larger conventional taillamps.
The tailgate of the BMW X2 is carved out near the logo, which gives it an aggressive look. The production of the X2 will commence from late-2017, and the deliveries will begin from 2018.

BMW calls the X2 as a Sports Activity Vehicle. The leaked images are different from the concept model. It has become more matured regarding overall design. The X2 will be a sportier sibling of the X1.
