BMW X1 Petrol Model Launched In India; Priced At Rs 35.75 Lakh
BMW X1 launched in India. The launch of the new petrol variant of the X1 in India comes at a time when the country seems to be moving away from diesel vehicles.
German carmaker BMW has launched the petrol X1 SUV in India. The petrol BMW X1 is available in India in just one variant: mid-level xLine trim which is priced at Rs 35.75 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi) similar to its diesel variant.
The Bavarians had confirmed to launch the X1 SUV at the 2016 Auto Expo. The petrol BMW X1 is badged as the sDrive20i. Powering the new BMW X1 in India is a 2.0-litre, turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 188bhp and 280Nm of torque and comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The BMW X1 petrol version can sprint from 0-100km/h in 7.7 seconds while delivering a mileage of 16.30km/l.
Regarding the design of the xLine trim of the BMW X1, the SUV's front bumper comes with underride protection in matte finished silver. The 14 exclusively designed slatted kidney grille of the xLine trim receives Matt Aluminium fronts in high gloss. Also, the front air intakes are highlighted with Black Matt finish.
On the side, BMW X1 xLine trim features Matt Silver on the side sill and door sill inserts in aluminium with embossed "BMW" designation.
On the rear, the bumper comes with underbody protection in Black and Silver Matt; the twin exhaust tailpipe comes in Chrome trim.
Inside the cabin, the new BMW X1 comes with a host of features such as 2-zone automatic climate control, panorama glass roof, footwell lights in the front and rear among others.
There is also the ambient lighting which is switchable to Orange/ White for the instrument panel, door trim along with the ambient lighting at the front and rear as well.
Additionally, there is the multifunction sport leather steering wheel in Black with Black stitching, finished in chrome.
The new BMW X1 features iDrive with a 16.5cm display with Bluetooth connectivity and rear view camera. Among the safety features, the new BMW X1 is equipped with six airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, Cornering Brake Control, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and whole lot of features.
The new BMW X1 xLine is available in five colours: Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Sparkling Brown, Mediterranean Blue and Chestnut Bronze.
