BMW is looking to bring the most powerful variant of the 7 series to India.
German luxury carmaker BMW is looking to bring the most powerful variant of its 7 Series flagship luxury sedan, the M760Li to India.

According to Carwale, BMW is bringing the M760Li to India to combat the Maybach badged S-Class sedans from its fellow German rival Mercedes-Benz. The M760Li is currently the most powerful car on sale today bearing the badge of the Bavarian carmaker.

The BMW M760Li is powered by a 6.6-litre twin turbo V12 that produces 602bhp and 800Nm of torque which is sent to all four wheels through BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Despite weighing in at 2.2 tonnes and an extreme length of 5,238mm, the M760Li is the fastest BMW ever produced and sprints from 0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds and continues to accelerate till it tops out at an electronically limited speed of 250km/h. The top speed can be raised to 306km/h (189km/h) with the help of an optional package.

In terms of styling, the M760Li gets a host of M Performance trim pieces including revised bumpers, V12 badging on the C-Pillar and on the door sills along with quad exhaust tips at the rear. The M760Li sits on lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the M760Li features more legroom thanks to the extended wheelbase which will help it rival the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Also expect BMW to pack the new M760Li with the latest tech, gizmos and luxury options to keep those inside as comfortable and safe as possible.

BMW is expected to charge a big premium over the current range topper (the 750Li) for the new M760LI. The BMW 760Li is expected to priced at over Rs 2 crore ex-showroom (Delhi).
