German auto major BMW has released the first teaser video of the i8 Roadster.
German auto major BMW has released the first teaser video of the i8 Roadster. The drop-top variant of the i8 is dressed in a camouflage livery.
But BMW is tight-lipped about the technical details of the i8 Roadster. The teaser video reveals that the Roadster version will retain the butterfly doors of its hardtop sibling.

The BMW i8 Roadster features a manually removable roof top, which appears to be made of fabric. The soft-top i8 is based on the upcoming facelifted i8. The prominent highlight of the Roadster is the aggressive hump at the rear to accommodate the folding roof.
The i8 Roadster will have a better chassis and bigger battery to deliver increased range. As per reports, the output will be around 400bhp to balance the added weight. The currently sold, i8 produces 357bhp.
DriveSpark Thinks!
