BMW Goes Retro With New Black & White Logo
BMW unveiled a new black and white logo for its exclusive models such as the upcoming BMW 8 Series and BMW X7, as well as the BMW i8 and 7 Series and the upcoming BMW i8 Roadster.
BMW has unveiled a new black and white logo ahead of its official debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show that's generating some interest already. The new BMW Logo will be seen in the upcoming BMW 8 Series and BMW X7 as well as the BMW i8, BMW i8 Roadster and BMW 7 Series.
The models will form a new and noticeably expanded luxury segment lineup that highlights the brand's most 'elite' models.
The famous BMW logo first appeared nearly 100 years ago with the company name "Bayerische Motoren Werke" spelled out. The history of the BMW logo is related to the first altitude-world-record-breaking aero engine all the way to BMW's debut in the electrified world with the launch of the i brand back in the late 2000's.
BMW said that the new logo showcases the "company's passion, confidence, and gift for bringing the future into the present day." The new BMW logo is also "apparent in the lifestyle of a target group well accustomed to trying new things, taking the lead and choosing a free and independent path in life."
