2017 BMW 5 Series Launched In Bangalore; Prices Start At Rs 49.90 Lakh

After the India launch of the next gen, G30 5-series in Mumbai on 29 June, BMW India has now launched it in Bangalore at Rs 49.90 lakh.
The regional launch event was held at Navnit Motors, on Lavelle road and had a pretty sizeable turnout of BMW enthusiasts, owners and prospective customers.

The car is available in 4 variants, with just the 520i powered by a 4-cylinder petrol engine. The 520d is powered by a 4-cylinder diesel and the 520d Luxuryline and M Sport are powered by the top-spec 265bhp 6 cylinder diesel.
The car is lighter than its predecessor and bigger, resulting in improved space inside the car, and better acceleration, with 0-100 km/h done away in 5.7 seconds on the top-spec M-sport.
Other than the good looks, the top Trump of the new 5-series has to be the remote parking feature which is activated by a touchscreen key, and of course, the gesture control too does make it very special.
Navnit Motors also announced the names of the first few customers who have purchased the new BMW 5-series, and handed over the keys to them.
Bookings for the new 5-series are now open with a token amount of Rs 5 lakh

Referring to the gesture control, BMW states your hands can do all the talking. Well, your hands can do the talking inside the new 5-series, but the car itself would do the talking for you while you just sit and drive.
