Bentley has captured a 7 billion pixel image of the Flying Spur car in Dubai. This is called as the world's most detailed landscape photo.
As an automobile enthusiast, we browse through lots of photos of cars every day. But this picture of the Bentley Flying Spur is not any ordinary image. It's a whopping 7 billion pixel image.
It takes 130 hours of hard work for British car maker Bentley to manufacture each Flying Spur. But creating a 7 billion pixel image took only 66 hours, and some know-how from NASA.
To photograph this huge picture, Bentley suspended a camera 866 feet up the Canyon Tower in Dubai to capture the world's most detailed landscape photo.
Bentley had to battle with the 104 degrees of heat and strong desert winds. A whopping 57.7 billion pixels were captured and got stitched together with balanced light levels on every single pixel.
The entire complicated process took 48 hours and 1,825 frames to complete the image. To download this 7 billion pixel image, it took further 18 hours.
The Bentley Flying Spur draws power from a 6-litre twin turbo, W12 engine pumping out 616bhp of power and 800Nm of peak torque. The car can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.6 seconds before topping out at a speed of 320km/h.
