Extreme Bentley Continental Supersports Is The World's Fastest Four Seat Car
The new Bentley Continental Supersports is the most extreme car from the British carmaker and is capable of reaching 336km/h.
The Bentley Continental Supersports has been revealed by the British carmaker as its most extreme model ever. The Supersports is the quickest and most powerful model that Bentley has ever produced.
Bentley also claims that the new Continental Supersports is the fastest luxuxry four-seater in the world. The hardcore Supersports is available in both coupe and convertible forms.
Powering the Continental Supersports is a revised version of Bentley's mammoth 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine which produces 700bhp @ 6,000rpm and 1,017Nm of torque which is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The Bentley Continental Supersports Coupe will sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3.5 seconds and will keep on accelerating till it reaches 336km/h.
The Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible is 0.4 seconds slower to 100km/h than its hardtop sibling with a sprint time of 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 330km/h (6km/h slower than the coupe).
The new Continental Supersports also adopts the torque vectoring technology previously seen on the Continental GT3 R. The Supersports can brake individual front and rear wheels to assist with hard acceleration out of corners, and can also brake the inside rear wheel to aid the car as it turns into a corner.
Design wise, the new Continental Supersports features a redesigned front bumper which hosts the new carbon-fibre splitter. The headlamps feature a dark tint and the bonnet is available in a gloss-polished carbon-fibre trim.
The Continental Supersports sits on 21-inch forged alloy wheels which save 20-kilograms of weight and are shod with 275/35 ZR21 tyres. The wheels also play host to the new Bentley's massive Carbon Silicon Carbide, cross-drilled brakes - 420mm up front and 356mm at the rear.
At the rear, the fixed spoiler is available only with the coupe and the tail lamps are tinted as well. The redesigned rear bumper hosts a carbon-fibre diffuser. A titanium exhaust is also available as an option and will help save 5 kilograms from the kerb weight of the car.
The Continental Supersports features a tri-tone interior with a bespoke steering wheel and gear lever along with numerous carbon-fibre trim pieces.
Bentley is expected to start delivering the all-new Continental Supersports to customers in the spring and has already opened up its order books for its most hardcore Continental till date.
