On the design front, the Audi Elaine Concept might look similar to the E-Tron Sportback Concept. But it is an entirely different vehicle regarding technology.
The Elaine Concept features Matrix LED light at both front and rear. The proportions of the new concept are also identical to the E-Tron Sportback. But it is equipped with some stand out features.
The new concept model is equipped with a new-gen processor which is powerful and gets refined sensors. It allows the Elaine to operate over long distances under the Highway Pilot technology.
The Highway Pilot is an advanced Traffic Jam Pilot which allows the concept to change lanes autonomously without the intervention of a human being behind the steering wheel. Apart from that, the concept features faster internet connection to locate unmarked parking spaces.
The Elaine depends on the PIA (Personal Intelligent Assistant) to respond to voice inputs and tailored algorithms to communicate adaptively with the user. PIA can also observe drivers behaviour and adapt the car's functions as per the user's needs.
Another prominent feature of the Elaine Concept is the Audi Fit Driver. It is a wearable device on the driver's wrist which provides vital data to the car such as body temperature and heart rate. If the system detects any signs of fatigue, the vehicle adapts to relax the driver. It will even prompt you to do breathing exercises.
The Audi Elaine Concept draws power from three electric motors with a combined output of 496bhp with a driving range of 500km. The concept can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds. All the numbers are identical to the E-Tron Sportback.
The Audi Elaine Concept previews the brand's vision of future of autonomous electric vehicles. It features Level-4 autonomous technology and also has a steering wheel for conventional driving. The car seems to be a practical solution for the future urban commute.
