Audi Offers Pre-GST Discounts
Audi is offering pre-GST discounts on cars like A3, the A4, the A6 and the Q3.
Audi India is offering pre-GST discounts in cars such as the A3, the A4, the A6 and the Q3 before GST comes into effect from July 1, 2017.
With little or no clarity on whether GST will be applicable on existing stocks, Audi India is looking to clear the stocks ahead of the deadline. As the GST structure is not entirely clear regarding the GST tax credits, dealerships are not ready to take any chances.
After Audi India, announced special service and aftersales offers, they are offering Audi Rush Price on their stock cars available with dealerships. An Audi A3 Premium Plus TDI diesel version which retails currently at Rs 32.30 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi), will be now available for Rs 29.99 lakh.
Along the same lines, there are reports that discounts on the A4, A6 and Q3 where potential buyers can save over Rs 6 lakh, a substantial amount even for a luxury car buyer.
It has been reported that Audi's executive sedan, the A6 diesel, is drawing the largest discount of more than Rs 7 lakh in some cities.
Audi is also offering discounts on its Q3 SUV of about Rs 4 lakh; however, larger SUVs such as the Q5 and Q7 have not been listed under the discount scheme.
With the government implementing the GST from July 1, 2017, luxury carmakers are offering massive price cuts on their locally assembled models. BMW, as well as Mercedes-Benz, have also offered schemes as a pre-GST offer.
GST on automobiles has been fixed at 28 percent, considering the tax structure where luxury cars are taxed a substantial 55 percent, GST will work for luxury car makers.
