2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS Launched In India
2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS launched in India. Prices for the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS starts at Rs 2.7 crore ex-showroom (India).
The four-door sports sedan has been updated for the 2018 model year with new styling upgrades and features. The 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS is being offered in two variants: GranLusso and GranSport.
The 2018 Quattroporte GTS features revised front and rear bumper design, new adaptive LED headlights with glare-free high beam assist. The GranLusso variant on the Quattroporte GTS comes with additional touches such as the front spoiler, chrome bumper inserts and body coloured side skirts. Additionally, the trim gets GranLusso badges on the wings and new 20-inch Mercurio alloy wheels with black coloured brake callipers.
As for the Quattroporte GTS GranSport variant, the sporty trim receives sculpted edges for the central front, and side intakes, aerodynamic splitters and the centre spoiler and side inserts come finished in piano black. Also, there is an optional exterior carbon package which comes with carbon finished ORVMs; door handles, B-pillar cover and front bumper.
Inside the cabin of the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS, the upholstery and leather have been revised and the cabin now comes with an 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) system that rests in the centre of the dashboard.
The unit can be operated through a multi-touch screen, rotary control in the central console, or through voice commands. The system also supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto along with phone mirroring option.
The luxury sports sedan comes with a choice of two exceptional audio systems: a powerful 900-watt, 10-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound system fitted as standard. While those looking for latest acoustics, one can opt for new generation Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound system which features fifteen speakers and a 1,280-watt amplifier.
On the safety front, the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS features six airbags, active headrests, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA); Active Blind Spot Assist (ABSA); Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) among others.
Mechanically, the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine churning out 522bhp and 710Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. The Quattroporte GTS can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 310km/h.
While bookings for the sports sedan has begun, deliveries are expected to be around the same time as the global markets. The 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS rival the likes of Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamera.
