2018 Maruti Swift Spotted During TVC Shoot In India
Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new 2018 Swift in the Indian market.
India's leading passenger car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for the launch of all-new 2018 Swift in the country.
Now, the new-gen Swift has been spotted in India during a TVC shoot in Lonavala, near Mumbai. The spotted hatchback is completely undisguised but does not get any badging.
Maruti Suzuki will commence the pre-launch media activities of the new Swift in January 2018 which will be followed by the launch, likely at the 2018 Auto Expo in February. The overall design of the India-spec Swift is similar to the globally sold model except for the alloy wheels.

The spotted model is finished in red colour and shod with dual-tone alloy wheels which are likely to be offered in the top-spec variant. The new Swift also features a floating roof design and blacked out pillars which give it a sporty look.
The 2018 Swift is based on the lightweight HEARTECT platform which also underpins the Baleno and new Dzire. The new Swift will be lighter than the current-gen model, and the overall handling will improve drastically.
The next-generation Swift is expected to draw power from the existing 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine producing 82bhp and 74bhp respectively. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional 5-speed AMT gearbox.
The next-gen Swift hatchback will be equipped with features such as projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, updated interior with flat-bottom steering wheel and 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the new Swift in the country at the 2018 Auto Expo in February. The automaker is expected to introduce the Sport and hybrid variants of the hatchback a few months after the launch of the regular variant. The new Swift will rival the likes of Ford Figo and Hyundai Grand i10.
