The first-generation Ford Figo hatchback was launched in India back in 2010, and the American carmaker followed it with the second-generation in 2015.
While the first-generation model was well received in the Indian market, the second-generation model did not impress car buyers in India. Ford is looking to change that with the facelifted version. The camouflaged test mule of the 2018 Ford Figo reveals a newly designed mesh grille and replaces the chrome slats that the current model features. Additional changes include redesigned bumpers, blacked out headlamps, and new alloy wheels. At the rear, we expect subtle changes to complement the refreshed design.

Inside the new Figo facelift, the cabin is expected to receive minor tweaks. A new touchscreen infotainment system along with SYNC3, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto is also likely to be offered. Additionally, we can also expect new seat upholstery and updated interior colours.

As for the engine specifications, Ford will continue to offer the 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine on the Ford Figo facelift. There are reports that the company might introduce a new 1.5-litre petrol engine which powers the new EcoSport SUV. Gearbox options include both manual and automatic.
There is no definite timeline for the launch of the facelifted Figo; however, we expect Ford to showcase the model at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo to be held in Delhi and launch the vehicle by the end of 2018 or early 2019.
