The new Vantage's shape is kept hidden in the new covered images but the new car's stance and design will bebased on the DB10 from the James Bond flick Spectre, as was revealed by official 'spy' images released by Aston earlier this year.

The new Aston Martin Vantage will use a shortened version of the architecture that underpins the DB11 and is expected to arrive in V8 guise at launch. The V8 in question will be the Mercedes-AMG 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 which also powers the DB11 V8.

The Teutonic V8 is expected to produce around 500bhp under the bonnet of the new British Vantage all of which will be sent to the rear wheels via manual or dual-clutch automatic gearboxes.

The new Vantage will also use Aston Martin's new 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 which powers the more powerful version the DB11. However, the V12 variant is expected to arrive sometime in the future and in all probability will not be seen when the new Vantage arrives early next year.

DriveSpark Thinks!

The latest images of the new Aston Martin Vantage show off the LED designs of the front and rear lights and hint at rather menacing GTE racer. Considering how well the DB10 looked and drove with Bond at the wheel, we expect the new Vantage to be quite a stunner, with the pace to finally match its good looks.
