ZF Friedrichshafen To Set Up Its Technology Centre In India
ZF Friedrichshafen, the German automotive parts company is to set up its first ever technology centre in Hyderabad, India. The centre will cater to the company's software and mechanical engineering, and R&D needs.
This will be ZF's first such centre in India.
The centre, which will be based in Hyderabad will work with the global development team of ZF to research and develop products that will be used globally. This will also help the company develop products locally.
The new centre is expected to kick start operations on January 1, 2016, and is likely to hire as many as 2,500 engineers by the year 2020.

ZF already has a production plant in Pune, along with a joint venture plant in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu. The ZF Group has over 100 development centres globally, and 17 of them are primary development centres.
