UK-Based Zenos Delivers Its 100th Car
Zenos Cars delivers its 100th car in 18 months. The UK-based company produces high-performance, lightweight sports cars. Currently, the company designs, manufactures and sells three variants of E10 car.
Zenos was started by Ansar Ali (an ex-employee of Mclaren) and Mark Edwards. These two engineers previously worked together at Caterham and Lotus. Both of them wanted to create a lightweight, low-cost car. And they ended up making the E10, a fast nimble little roadster.
The company produces three variants: E10, E10 S, and E10 R. The E10 is powered by a 2.0-litre engine that produces 200bhp and 210Nm of torque and the car weighs only 700 kg. The E10 S is similar to the base model but with turbocharged 2.0-litre Ford Ecoboost engine delivers 250bhp and 400Nm of torque. The E10 R is the most powerful variant and its powerplant is a 2.3-litre Ford Ecoboost engine that delivers 350bhp and 475Nm of torque.
As of now, Zenos is available in 10 markets across Europe, Asia, and North America. For a new car company starting from a scratch is no easy task, but in a year and a half, the company being able to deliver its 100th car, is quite remarkable. Hope we can see more lightweight cars from the UK based Zenos in future.
