2017 Volkswagen Passat Facelift Spotted Testing Again
Powering the 2017 Passat will be a 1.8-litre petrol Tsi motor and 2.0-litre diesel unit.
The 2017 Volkswagen Passat was spotted on Indian roads multiple times over the last few months. Now the vehicle is spotted yet again and it has got some major styling updates.
On the front, the car gets a new set of bumpers, a new grille, LED headlights and a sculpted hood as well. The rear end also gets some updates like LED taillights. The wheels are now 19-inch anthracite Salvador aluminium alloys.
Inside, the car is equipped with a new instrument panel and a stylish steering wheel. Now, the rear seat also gets heaters. It also has a MIB II Infotainment system with both USB and Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink compatibility.
Electronics include advanced driver assistance system, an adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and an emergency braking system. Other features such as a blind spot monitor, lane departure warning and a rear traffic assist with a rearview camera are also added.
There are two engine variants; a 1.8-litre petrol Tsi motor and 2.0-litre diesel unit. The new Passat will be assembled in Volkswagen's Aurangabad plant, Maharashtra. We can expect it to be priced at around Rs 30 lakh.
