India is in the grip of some amazing cars launches in the past couple of months and there are some awesome cars which will be launched in the coming months. Read on to find out the new car launches in India.

Bentley Bentayga

The world's fastest and most expensive SUV commands a price tag of Rs. 3.85 crore. This is Bentley's first-ever SUV, it is powered by the 5,950cc twin turbo W12 engine, producing a massive 608bhp and tremendous torque of 900Nm.

The Bentayga is not only equipped with power, it's luxurious in its exterior and interiors as well. Some of the highlights include diamond-quilted seat upholstery, a 'floating' driver info panel and knurled finished controls. For India, only 20 units will make its way and all have been sold out.

New Toyota Innova Crysta

The old Toyota Innova created a benchmark in the MPV segment and none of the manufacturers will able to counter it. Now, Toyota will launch the all-new Innova Crysta with features which will take the segment benchmark even further. The Innova Crysta will be powered by a new 2.4-litre diesel engine punching out 147bhp.

Toyota will also offer a more powerful 2.8-litre diesel engine as well, and the manufacturer will offer these in the manual and automatic gearbox. On the design front, it follows the language of the Camry and the Corolla Altis which features a large front grille, LED DRL's (Daytime Running Lights) and a sculpted design for the exterior.

Honda BR-V

The current flavour in the automobile industry is the SUV segment and Honda wants a bite of the pie too. Honda BR-V will be unique with its 7-seater layout and it looks like an SUV and a capacity like an MPV.

The SUV will be powered by 1.5-litre in both petrol and diesel format which is seen in the Mobilio.
The interiors of the Honda BR-V looks more like the Jazz layout even though it shares the Brio, Amaze or the Mobilio platform.

Datsun redi-GO

Upcoming Car In India: Datsun redi-GO

The tall-boy looking Datsun redi-GO is ready to shake up the small hatchback segment, it is much better looking than any of the small cars in the market. Its closest rival will be the Renault Kwid and the red-GO is powered by the 800cc petrol engine which it shares from the Kwid, producing 53bhp and 72Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis

Maruti has got a great car from the Baleno, now it is planning to launch the premium small hatchback Ignis during the festival time. This car will be launched through its premium network of Nexa.

The Maruti Ignis will be powered by 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines. From the exterior look of the car, it has a mix of both modern and retro design and will target the youth of the nation.

Volkswagen Ameo

The Volkswagen Ameo was showcased recently at the Auto Expo 2016 and then later was unveiled to India. The Ameo is designed based on the Polo platform and will share most of the components from it.

You can call this as the Polo compact sedan, not much has been revealed about the power plant on it, however, we expect more from the Polo engine.

Tata has been slow and way behind in the compact SUV segment, however, the Nexon could bring back a bang to the automobile major. The initial look of the SUV seems very promising and many Tata fans would wait before they buy any other compact SUV.

The third generation Hyundai Tucson will make its way to India during or before the festival season. Going by the design we see Hyundai's fluidic sculpture and a lot of cues from the Santa Fe model.

Maruti Baleno RS

Maruti has confirmed at least two more car launches in this year since the Ignis is confirmed to be launched during the festival season, the Baleno RS is expected to be launched by the end of 2016.

On the design front, the Baleno RS is the same except that it is more of a sporty design like the side skirts, and minor body kit. It could be powered by the 1.0-litre booster jet engine developing 110bhp.

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

A whole lot of spy images have popped on online and the launch looks imminent any time soon. The actual SUV will be premium in nature and boasts some luxurious features like heated and ventilated seats, electric tailgate and a 20-inch chrome alloy wheels.

The SUV will be powered by 3.0-litre diesel engine, punching out 237bhp engine which will be mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
