Upcoming Maruti Cars In India; Interesting Lineup
The largest car manufacturer of India in terms of sales, market share and brand value, Maruti Suzuki has launched some of the best selling cars in India with the likes of Vitara Brezza and the Baleno.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis
The Maruti Ignis will be the next car to be launched in India during the festive season of October - November 2016. The Ignis will be positioned below the Swift and above the Celerio and WagonR.
The Maruti Ignis is a new segment which is a hatchback but with the characteristics of an SUV and will rival the Mahindra KUV100. The Ignis is expected to have modern and refined cabin and features.
Maruti will power the Ignis with the 1.3-litre diesel engine that will churn out 80bhp and the 1.2-litre petrol engine is expected to punch out 75bhp.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS
The Baleno is a runaway success for Maruti, and it has threatened its competitors like the Hyundai Elite i20. Since the Baleno falls under the segment of a premium hatchback, Maruti will add some power and looks to compliment it.

On the design, expected are simple body kits for the front, side and rear to give the Baleno a sporty look. Also, expected is the 1.0-litre booster jet engine from Suzuki to power the Baleno. There will be small detailing to give the 'RS' (Rally Sport) image credibility.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza (Petrol)
Maruti entered the compact SUV party very late, but they pulled a fast one with the launch of the Vitara Brezza. The well proportionate small SUV from Maruti has impressed one and all, and its sales numbers speak for it.

Maruti had launched the Vitara Brezza in the diesel model only, and the petrol variant took the back seat. All the vehicles from Maruti have both the petrol and diesel models to choose from; hence, it will be no surprise if Maruti will launch the petrol Brezza soon.
The Brezza petrol model is expected to come with the new 1.0-litre booster jet engine that is expected to power the Baleno. Also, Maruti will offer the 1.4-litre petrol engine on the Brezza as well.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR MPV
Datsun did not taste much success with the GO+, a 7-seater car. Maruti will be launching the WagonR MPV, a 7-seater hatchback. The WagonR is still a success from Maruti and will capitalise the selling points of the WagonR like the tall boy design, best ergonomics, and value for money.

The WagonR MPV will be positioned below the Ertiga and the pricing of the WagonR MPV will be the crucial aspect. Knowing Maruti, they will price the small MPV competitively.
Maruti will probably power the WagonR with the 1.0-litre petrol which also powers the Alto K10 and the 793cc diesel unit which is seen in the Celerio.

Maruti Suzuki Swift AMT
The Swift is long due for the AMT version, Maruti sold 12,355 units of the Swift in May 2016 and is top 5 in the top selling cars in India in May. The Swift, however, is facing competition none other than its sibling, the Baleno.

Maruti would not like to cannibalise the Swift through the preference for the premium Baleno. Maruti will look to equip the Swift with better features and variants, and the AMT will be mostly seen in the diesel model.

Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Diesel
The Alto is facing a storm in the form of the recently launched Renault Kwid, the Alto continues to be the number one choice in India and is the best selling in India. Maruti will add the choice of a diesel engine to the Alto 800.

Maruti will equip the Alto 800 with the diesel unit seen in the Celerio, which is a 793cc engine and develops a power of 47bhp and 125Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki New Swift
There are several spy images of the new Swift being tested, and the launch looks imminent very soon. Maruti has facelifted the Swift twice in India and the Swift continues to enjoy as one of the best selling cars in India.

On the exterior front, the new Swift will be seen with new wrap around headlamps, floating roof design, new front grille and probably with DRLs. On the inside, an all-new dashboard, with features like touchscreen infotainment system, better safety features and three-spoked steering wheel and a lot more.
The new generation Maruti Swift is expected to be powered by the 1.0-litre booster jet engine and probably a 1.3-litre new diesel engine and will come with the option of manual and automatic gearbox.

The highly successful compact sedan from Maruti will undergo some serious changes in terms of exteriors and interiors.
