Uber India is constantly trying to improve features and services in the country. They have now decided to offer customers the choice to schedule their rides. No additional price will be applicable on scheduled rides by Uber India.

Customers can now schedule a ride between 30 minutes to 30 days for the future. This will be great for individuals that need to travel to the airport for drop-offs. Scheduling an Uber ride is simple, just set a pickup location, time, and final destination on the app.

Scheduled Rides via Uber will be similar to Uber X ride, which is being offered currently. Uber India has also confirmed that Scheduled rides can be subject to Surge Pricing. The app uses Surge Pricing to attract more drivers to a location where demand for cabs is high by offering more money.

Cancellation process remains more or less same according to Uber. If a customer cancels a Scheduled Ride within five minutes of booking, no cancellation fee will be levied. Post that customers will be charged cancellation fee according to Uber India policies.

Currently, Uber India will offer Schedule Ride services in 20 cities across the country. App users will receive a reminder prior to the arrival of their ride. Uber's rival in India, Ola has been offering its customers the option to schedule rides from the very beginning.
